SieMatic Flagshipstore Suzhou, China

In the new SieMatic flagship store in China’s high-tech metropolis Suzhou, clients experience not only a wide range of high-quality  kitchens, but also exclusive interior worlds made in Germany.

Located in the heart of Suzhou Industrial Park, west of Shanghai, SieMatic has opened a new flagship store. Across two levels, the brand presents its approach to kitchen design and makes a wide range of finishes, materials, and configurations tangible. The space is conceived as both a showroom and a place for consultation, where clients are guided through the planning process and individual kitchens are developed. Kitchen and living are not treated as separate domains but understood as a connected living environment. This approach also shapes the interior concept, where furnishings by Walter K. help articulate the space as a coherent residential setting.

German Craftsmanship

For many years, Walter K. has been a partner of SieMatic, furnishing its showrooms worldwide. Both companies share a common origin and a self-image rooted in German craftsmanship. Careful workmanship, a considered approach to selected materials, and a focus on longevity define their collaboration. Here, Made in Germany is not positioned as a claim, but practiced as a lived standard.

Across two levels, the flagship store opens into atmospheric spaces where kitchen and living naturally intersect. These settings create places for exchange, closeness, and shared moments. Within Chinese culture, the table holds particular significance as a place for conversation, dining, and gathering. The Temno Table reflects this role and anchors it within the space. Sheru Chairs accompany these moments with a calm presence and a form that supports openness without drawing attention to itself.

Tailored Spatial Concepts

SieMatic’s style worlds present distinct design approaches and the breadth of tailored kitchen solutions. Rather than focusing on individual kitchen lines, the emphasis is on spatial concepts conceived as a whole. Materials, colors, and forms interact to define the character of each style world. The result is a spatial understanding in which kitchen and living areas naturally belong together.

High‑quality materials and precise craftsmanship define the versatile designs throughout the store. Stone and wood shape the character of the kitchens, while leather and fabric on the bar stools create a tactile counterpoint at the kitchen counters.

Places of Gathering

Hospitality shapes the design of the showroom in many ways and becomes evident in open situations that invite lingering and exchange. On the ground floor, this idea is expressed through a generous lounge setting that adds a residential dimension to the overall concept. The Living Landscape Sofa in leather makes a considered statement within the space, accompanied by the Onsa Lounge Chair.

Because every person is special, every character unique, and every country and region has its own culinary culture, we do not think in terms of products, but in terms of styles. An innovative design principle that we use to create living spaces all over the world that perfectly reflect the personality of their owners."

Distinct Design Worlds

Within the showroom, SieMatic presents distinct style worlds that reflect different architectural attitudes. Ranging from purist and restrained to more classically informed, each setting establishes a clearly defined atmosphere. In the Classic world, the 375 Armchair complements the kitchen with a sense of quiet elegance. Upholstered in refined velvet and paired with a refined, matching marble table, the composition conveys durability and a cultivated approach to living.

The flagship store also serves as a platform for exchange and knowledge. Events, trainings, and formats for architects, designers, and partners are an integral part of the concept. The spaces are conceived to be open and flexible in use. In this way, the store becomes a place where design is not only presented, but developed further through shared dialogue.
